Samples, samples, samples!! Try my product.

Okay, so I am getting hits from spammers trying to get me to link to their sites and “fabulous” products for eczema sufferers.  Well, you have my attention.  My eczema hasn’t responded to anything other then tanning, that’s right no miracle cream or cure that I have tried has worked.  So, contact me and send me some samples.  I’ll try in out and post a review right here for better or for worst.

I was so interested to find your website. I’m 50 and have battled eczema all my life. Unfortunately, hitting menopause has aggravated it beyond all reason. I just finished up a course of steroids last week and will probably have to go on another week’s worth in a day or two. Elidel worked for me for a while. Lately, (because my eczema is on my face too) I’ve been having some success with a paste of eggwhite, olive oil, and finely ground oatmeal applied as a mask and allowed to let dry. I’m ready to give up and go back to tanning, 4-6 minutes, twice a week. Unfortunately, you can’t tan and use Elidel, so it’ll either be one or the other. Thank you so much for your site!

      Thanks Connie!

Have you gone tanning for your eczema in the past? While I love that my skin seems happy with it I freak myself out every now and than worrying about cancer and such. How did you decided on the egg white, olive oil and oatmeal mask? Particularly what does the egg white do?

I am sad to hear that menopause has triggered it to be worst, guess I am not out of the woods just yet. I am currently breastfeeding my newest baby and will be for awhile so meds are out right now for me but I may explore it in the future. However, so long as tanning keeps working out I am happier with its risk over whatever the medication might do to my body.

I’m really considering the tanning, I used to do it in the past but the elidel makes you extremely sensitive to sunlight and I would have to stop using the elidel for weeks beforehand. It also ages my skin alot.
Ground oatmeal is what’s in Aveno bath products and I needed an oil for the moisturizing. I really do find that adding an eggwhite makes a big difference, I am not sure why.
Last night, my skin was a mess, I was ready for another course of steriods. I made a mask of ground oatmeal, eggwhite and olive oil, applied it to my face and arms and let it dry. Then I rinsed it off with warm water, and applied aloe vera gel. After that was dry, I put on a little cortizone for good measure. (Just using cortizone alone wasn’t cutting it.) This morning, it’s hugely better. I’ll probably use it again tomorrow..and moisturize like crazy. My dermatologist has me use Glaxyl base with a little bit of glycerin mixed in for moisturizer.
        The egg/oatmeal/olive oil helps, alot.
