Sometimes eczema can be funny

Okay, not quite the title for a post about living with eczema but I got a bit of a chuckle out of my recent outbreaks.  You see every now and then my flare up will resemble things.  Putting cream on my thumb made me notice this…

Eczema, finger eczema, psorasis

Do you see it?

Yes, its a smiley face.  Thanks body for the humor, now if only it didn’t hurt so bad.

Hey! Stumbled upon ur blog and I’m about to read through it. The picture at the top of the screen of what I’m guessing is your arm reminds me so much of mine! My entire body is having a break out right now. This picture made me smile because there have been a few times when my eczema has resembled hearts and it made me chuckle!
    Thanks for doing this!

      Hi Allie,
Thanks for leaving your comment. I am glad I am not the only one who “sees” things in there eczema.

Oh, and yes. The picture at the top of the page is indeed me.

    Hey!

Great blog. I’m a long time eczema sufferer myself and it has recently gotten really bad over the past few months. Used to have it only in my elbows and behind the knees, but it has spread EVERYWHERE with a vengeance. It sucks.

Like the poster above me, this picture reminded me of my own hand eczema. Hah.

Good luck on finding relief. I find that most creams and moisturizers irritate me. I don’t know what else to do.

    Hope for an update soon!

      Hey V!
Thanks for your message. I hope your skin has gotten better since you left this comment. If you haven’t had a chance to read some of my other posts you should go to my post on tanning. I know, it seems a bit nuts but its the only thing that has worked for me.

I have some posts coming in Sept. Thanks for stopping by.

Have you ever tried going to the chiropractor? When my skin flared up the last time I started going three times a week and my skin started to clear up! After my exam time madness ends I’m going to start going again and hopefully get this newest outbreak cleared up.
When I went to the chiro last time he said that subluxations (pressures) in your spin affect the flow of energy from your brain to the different organs. He even provided a diagram that showed the different areas of the spine and what can be affected if there are subluxations there, including a section for eczema and other skin irritations.
Maybe this information can help someone out there! I can only hope!
    Happy Healing.

    Hi Allie,
I do go to a chiro but haven’t had treatments tailored to my eczema breakouts. I’ll put this on my things to bring up next time I go.

    Thanks for the tip.

Also, I recently cut gluten out of my diet and it seems to be helping!! I still eat rye flour and spelt flour which contain lower amounts of gluten. Something else to try for fellow sufferers out there!
    Keep smiling!
